OLD ORDNANCE SURVEY MAPS : THE GODFREY EDITION

For Yorkshire

  • We have a large selection of more than 275 maps for towns in Yorkshire, one of our most established series. New titles are being added all the time, and the series includes several beautiful coloured sheets from the 1st Edition Ordnance Survey maps.
  • Each map includes an introduction to the history of the area and most also have extracts from a contemporary directory. The maps are highly detailed; most are taken from the OS 1:2500 maps and reduced to about 14 inches to the mile. For further information about individual maps simply follow the links below.   • Most maps in the Godfrey Edition are taken from the 25 inch to the mile map and reduced to about 15 inches to the mile. They cost just £ 3.50 each (Coloured editions £ 4.00). For a full list of English maps, return to the England page
