    This detailed map covers the village of Neilston, described in 1854 as a "compact, neat, and somewhat old fashioned little township". The map includes the communities of Neilston and Crofthead, while part of Gateside is in the NE corner. Features include Crofthead Mill, Cowdon Hall, Neilston station, Broadlie Bleach Works, Kirkton Bleach Works, Millfield Print Works. Extracts from an early trade directory are on the reverse.
