This map completes our series of 18 maps for the Ruhrgebiet. It is taken from the British War Office 1:12,500 plans and reduced to approx 1:19,000. Published in 1945, prior to the Allied occupation of the area, the maps are especially good at showing industry, collieries and transport. They can be purchased through our On-line Mapshop.

This map covers the area south of Dortmund, including Hohensyburg, Ahlenberg, Löttringhausen, Syburg, Holzen, Westhofen; it also includes parts of Schwerte and Herdecke. At the bottom of the map is the River Ruhr with the Hengstey See, with Bathey.
