    This detailed map covers Penwortham and the SW corner of Preston.

    Features include River Ribble, Middleforth Green, railway with disused West Lancashire station, Ribble Branch, Penwortham House, Hurst Grange, St Mary's church, Lower Hall, Woodfield House, The Holme, Great Crookings, Penwortham End, Howick House, etc.

    On the reverse we include extracts from a 1918 directory of Penwortham, together with a specially written introduction to the history of the area.
