We already have a good range of maps for the Teesside area towns. We are now preparing a group of ten new maps for Stockton and Darlington, to be published over the course of a year, beginning in September 2020. The ten will include maps in Darlington and Stockton boroughs, including the former Thornaby municipal borough and other towns or villages within the boroughs. We will start the group with two maps for Darlington and one for Stockton in late September 2020. Each map will include a specially written introduction to the history of the area and it is expected that most of these will be written by Alan Godfrey. Most maps will include features of transport and/or industrial history interest. The majority will be Durham sheets but some may be Yorkshire sheets if we feel that is the best way to cover parts of Stockton (where the borough includes parts of both counties).
The exact details of the ten maps is still being worked on, but we expect the group to include maps for Yarm, Hurworth-on-Tees and Thornaby as well as the town centres of Darlington and Stockton. For a little bit more about how this series came about, visit This Page
We hope you will join us in subscribing to this group of 10 Teesside maps and supporting this continuing project. Quite simply, the more maps we sell, and the more subscribers we have, the more we can publish!
