    We have published two versions of this detailed map, showing how the area changed across the years. Each covers the NE area of the town in detail, and extends eastward to Parr Hall Farm, northward to Stubbrook Farm, southward to Bickerstaffe Street.

    Features include St Mary's RC church, tramways and depot, Providence Free Hospital, Hardshaw Hill, Union Chemical Works, Convent of Notre Dame, Victoria Park, Gerard's Bridge Chemical Works, St Helen's Plate Glass Works, Union Plate Glass Works, St Helen's Canal, LNWR St Helen's Line incl Gerards Bridge station and northern approaches to St Helens station, Pocket Nook, Globe Alkali Works, Star Inn Race Ground, Islands Brow Tallow Works, Bromiloe's Delph, etc.
